We would like to draw your attention to the
Latsis Symposium on Atmosphere and Climate Dynamics:
From Clouds to Global Circulations
to be held June 18-21 in Zurich, Switzerland.
This four-day conference will bring together researchers from different
subcommunities in the climate sciences, to map out the most promising
research avenues and answer the most pressing questions in climate
dynamics. About half of the conference will be devoted to invited talks
and interactive discussion sessions, with the rest allocated to
contributed talks, and posters.
Confirmed invited speakers include William Boos, Chris Bretherton, Rodrigo
Caballero, Mark Cane, Clara Deser, Dennis Hartmann, Isaac Held, Sir Brian
Hoskins, Zhiming Kuang, Brian Mapes, Caroline Muller, Tiffany Shaw, Ted
Shepherd, Adam Sobel, Bjorn Stevens, and Eli Tziperman.
We welcome contributed talks and posters on all aspects of atmosphere and
climate dynamics (though depending on the volume of submissions, it may
not be possible to schedule oral presentations for all who request them).
Abstracts should be submitted by March 21, 2014.
