Brief Description:

 This bias corrected PERSIANN (Precipitation Estimation from Remotely Sensed Information using Artificial Neural Networks) precipitation maintains total monthly precipitation estimates, consistent with GPCP (Global Precipitation Climatology Project) product. The newly released data set retains the spatial and temporal features of precipitation estimates provided by the original PERSIANN algorithm at 0.25-degree spatial and 3-hourly (60S-60N) and 6-hourly (50S-50N) temporal resolution.

 

Temporal Coverage:

Daily average values for 1983/01 to 2014/12.
Monthly average values for 1983/01 to 2014/12.


Spatial Coverage:

0.25 degree latitude x 0.25 degree longitude global grid (1440x480).
-59.875S – 59.75N, 0.125E – 359.875E.


Levels:

Just one level.


Data Format:

NetCDF.
